Vicor’s VI Chip PRM modules have been provided new user-configurability capabilities, along with the PRM modules could be configured for use as point-of-load buck-boost regulators or to drive VTM current multipliers and meet a broad array of PoL energy requirements.

The PowerBench on the internet tool suite makes it possible for customers to specify the voltage, current and protection parameters of their PRM module after which simulate their models in application-specific operating conditions.

Data sheets, portion numbers and pricing info are offered for designers’ uniquely-configured devices, and devices are shipped to consumers within 5 business enterprise days.

“With this new capability, designers have a lot more manage more than device functionality, can defend downstream devices, simplify and – having a 5 day turnaround – considerably speed up styles,” said Steve Oliver, v-p of VI Chip Marketing and advertising, Vicor.

Vicor will likely be demonstrating its new configurable VI Chip PRM modules and online design tools this week at APEC 2013.
